Sept. 10.

Moongate Books has launched a new beautifully printed range of calendars with Asian themes featuring an exclusive selection of artists and writers from around the region. There are 22 titles overall in the range. The themes range from China Birds and Indian Street Cats to Asian Temples, Island Paradises and calendars with a destination focus, including Hong Kong and Thailand.

Sept. 1.

Make-Do Publishing has rebranded as Moongate Books. Our focus remains being a publishing platform for original independent voices from Asia in translation.

Sept. 24.

Make-Do author Mark Kitto is taking his enthralling show Chinese Boxing to the Players Theatre in Thame, UK on 22 October. Written and performed by Mark, the solo performance sees him channel different characters to take audiences inside the dramatic events of the Boxer Uprising of 1900. The post-show Q&A will explore what it means for China today. Mark is the author of two acclaimed books about China, China Cuckoo and That’s China.
